Today I woke up, ready to start my life, funny thing is I obviously have been alive for almost 23 years now, but today was different.
I find myself in an interesting period of my life, your 20's are weird, awkward and straight up confusing, amiright!? If you're past this stage please send me some of your tips on deciding what the actual f**k to do with life, and if you're not here yet, buckle up because you're in for one hell of a ride.
How rude of me, let me introduce myself, I'm Mehanaokala Aquaysha Pilago, yeah it's a mouth full, and you probably had to sound out at least one word in there, don't worry the teachers in school had a great time trying to pronounce those 25 letters too. I live on the Island of Hawaii, in Kailua Kona with my boyfriend, little brother, and two attention seeking psychotic fur babies Oliver and Stella. (Oliver's Instagram: @ollythebadboy)
I work at a vacation rental company in marketing and spend most of my time obsessing over social media, diy crafts, how clean my house is, what I'm going to make for dinner, if i'll have time to surf over the weekend and then all the deep sh*t no one wants to talk about. Like... am I going to not stress out about not making rent one day, will I have money to buy all the necessities I need and want one day, will I ever be married, will I ever have kids, will I have this job in 2 years, or even 1 at that and still enjoy it? Honestly, who knows ? Not you, not I, maybe god if you believe in that stuff, but we'll never know. So let's enjoy the now together, understanding we are all going thru some crap whether you're in denial or not. Good or bad, there's always something positive to come out of any situation, and that's the one thing I do know for sure.
So join me in this new endeavor of life, creativity and happiness. This is a safe, open minded, haven for creativity, inspiration, motivation... it's whatever you want it to be. A place to come and learn new diy projects, to learn about plants, to find experiences you can relate to and not feel alone with! Ignite your creativity to make something new and manifest!
My goal for this site is to make you leave with a positive attitude, ready to take on whatever life throws at you, because life sure does throw some sh*t you definitely weren't expecting, but it's up to you to decide to use that for something positive, or let the negatives bring you down. So come here for crafts, plant tips, design, home decor, affordable hacks, veganism, food, goals, manifesting, being a human being and having feelings! Come here when you need a good mood booster, when you feel alone, when you have a moment to do something for yourself. Because if you leave with just one hint of more of happiness than you arrived with, this is a success and my job is done.
